Rebooting.Church

Nonfiction

It’s probably a rare clergy member that has more time on their hands than they know what to do with. Can I get an “Amen!” on that? On the contrary, most Pastors, Ministers, and church staff are slammed with much more work than they possibly can address on a day-to-day basis. Does this sound about right to you?

Most are juggling so many balls in the air at the same time that it’s a certainty that one or more of them will drop at some point. There is so little time in today’s fast-changing world for our Church-Leaders to meet all the many demands that are placed on them each day, that it may become far too easy for them to become blind about how those changes are affecting their churches, their congregation, and the world at large around them.

Like the “Real-World” we all inhabit, it’s no secret that there are forces afoot in today’s digital world that many clergy and other Church-Leaders may not have time to focus on or even to consider, but whether they recognize and understand these forces or not, they will probably for good or ill, have a considerable impact on their church’s future success.

The ability to rise above the maelstrom of busyness that defines our modern lives to discover the ideas, concepts, tools, processes, and best practices that will allow our Church-Leaders to become more proactive and effective at sharing the Gospel and bringing more of the Un-Churched and Under-Churched to Christ, will prove to make the difference in how successful our churches are in this new Christian Epoch of “Digital-Church” that we are now in.

REBOOTING.CHURCH

A BOOK ABOUT “WHY” CHURCHES NEED A REBOOT & “HOW” TO GET IT STARTED.

Rebooting.Church’s (rebooting-dot-church) mission is to provide a resource for Church-Leaders that want to know why becoming a Digital-Church is so crucial to their church’s future ministry success, and how they should begin creating and executing their Digital-Church Strategy by embracing change, technology, and the process of “Digital-Transformation.”

This book attempts to take a broad look at the major trends and drivers of change in our world and tries to correlate how those changes might affect both our churches, and the Christian Religion in the coming decades of this new century. Rather than trying to be a comprehensive technology guide book that gives Church-Leaders all the answers, its primary purpose is to get more Church-Leaders and churches in America and around the world, to re-think and re-imagine the future of “Church” and how the twin forces of Exponential-Changes in Science, Technology, and Culture and the Digital-Disruption resulting from those exponential changes, will radically alter even 2,000-year-old institutions like the Church.

CHURCH” has always been a force for good in the “Real-World,” but now the world needs it to become an even greater force for good by “Rebooting” itself to better serve a 21st-Century “Digital-World.” Rebooting.Church shows Church-Leaders and concerned Christians how by embracing Change and adopting Technology through Digital-Transformation, they can help provide solutions for their congregant’s 21st-century Life Challenges, resolve the growing problems of Generational-Irrelevance and Declining Growth, and maximize their church’s effectiveness in attracting a world hungry for the peace and love that only Christ’s Church can provide.

My hope is that at a minimum, this book will spur serious discussion on the topics it covers and generating a sense of urgency for Church-Leaders to make the changes necessary to make their churches more relevant to more people. In this way, I hope that it will serve as a catalyst, and a clarion call, for churches to grow and thrive in the 21st-century. Together, we will prepare our churches to fill the many new and different demands of this new Digital-World, and most of all, help them succeed in their mission to spread the Gospel to both a physical and a digital world that is desperately hungry for it.
